Japan Trip (Tokyo/Hokkaido) - Day 10 (10/2/2008) Otaru

Did you know that the original fortune cat should have a cloth ribbon around its neck instead of a painted one? And that if the cat lifts its left hand, it stands for good fortune; right hand on the other hand stands for love.

Streets of Otaru. Now this is what Otaru is good for..... SEAFOOD!!!

Uni Rice!! Cheap, Good and SUPER FRESH!!!!

Everyone's waiting for the golden moment before sunset to capture the perfect shot.

Mini Snow Festival on the streets of Otaru.

Hihi! =) I'm researching for a trip to Japan with my friends sometime in the future, was wondering if you know how much you've spent for your trip!

depends on where you are visiting. I visited Tokyo and Hokkaido.
SQ Sin to Japan Return Flight + Tokyo to Hokkaido Return Flight cost me at S$1,800.
Hotel was about S$50 per room/night in Tokyo. S$120 per room/night in Hokkaido.
All of the above plus shopping, food and other transportation will add up to about S$3,500. Where do you intend to go?

Well right now we're thinking of going to Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto hopefully, we're not sure though since it's a long way ahead. =)

Would you recommend going to Japan in the winter or the summer?
