On my recent meeting in Troyes, France, i manage to take one night out to take some photographs... Troyes is a medieval city, in the Province of Champagne and 2-3 hours drive from Paris.

duomo of florence. "duomo" means cathedral in italian, therefore if you are in italy, you can find duomo of florence, duomo of milan, duomo of siena and so on.... what you see in this photo is the most significant cathedral in florence, the Basilica di Santa Maria del Fiore. to learn more about this cathedral, click here.

Europe Trip - Florence - Day 10 (Part 5)
since the sun sets pretty early during winter, it was already dark by the time we got back to town after shopping. the experience of walking along the streets in florence is really something i feel everyone should try. the streets are lined with stalls and cafes, set in a city with very old heritage, its like being in another world.
florence is unique in a sense that the whole city center is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site unlike other heritage sites which are listed as single building or location.

unlike paris, florence is like a small town where buildings are packed close together. you can see the duomo of florence here in the next picture. more on the duomo of florence in the next post.
